Please be aware that I often see clients back-to-back during the day and, unfortunately, that leaves me little time to return phone calls.
Making the decision to begin therapy and making the initial contact can be a scary first step and it would be nice to speak with a human being before making an appointment. I get it! I wish it could always work like that.
I would like to suggest that you fill out the form for a new patient appointment. Please let me know if you have limitations to your schedule, such as "I can only come in after work" or "I would love to come in during the middle of the day." If I have an opening in my schedule, that looks like it will work with your schedule, I will make every effort to get in touch with you as soon as possible,
If I do not have any openings, I will also be able to quickly email you back to let you know that as soon as possible, rather than playing phone tag, just to let you know that I will not be able to see you. That always feels rather horrible to me as well!
Please be cautious about saying anything "too personal" in your message. Although I use an email server that is supposed to allow the highest level of privacy, it is email after all! I suppose in this digital age privacy can never be guaranteed to be 100% protected.
